Individual therapy sessions are charged at £65 and last for 50 minutes. Our initial 20-minute video consultation is completely free of charge, offering us a low-pressure space to meet and ensure we are a good fit before you commit to a full session.

To build consistency and momentum, sessions are held weekly at a regular, recurring time dedicated entirely to you. Because my practice is person-centred, the overall duration of our work is open-ended and guided by you. Some clients find that a few months of short-term support helps them navigate a specific challenge, while others choose to stay in long-term therapy to explore deeper patterns. We will review our work together regularly.

I offer both options to suit your schedule and sensory needs. My physical practice is at New Road Psychotherapy, 73 Church Road, Hove (BN3 2BB). Alternatively, I work online via Google Meet.

We will begin by briefly reviewing our working-together agreement to ensure you feel completely clear and comfortable about how we will work. Once those practical details are settled, we will gently explore what is bringing you to therapy, what might be worrying you, and your hopes for our sessions. You are expected to have paid either by bank transfer before the session or in cash at the end of the session.

While both offer a safe, confidential space to talk, they generally differ in depth and scope. Counselling tends to be shorter-term and focuses on helping you navigate a specific, current life event, transition, or immediate crisis, such as a recent bereavement, a relationship breakdown, or acute workplace stress.
Psychotherapy typically looks at deeper, long-standing patterns. It explores how your past experiences, childhood, or unconscious processes might be shaping how you feel, think, and relate to others in the present. My advanced Master's level training allows me to work across both spaces, meaning we can tailor our depth depending on whether you need short-term clarity or deeper, open-ended exploration.

Neuroaffirmative therapy views neurodivergence, such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia or any other neurological differences, as natural variations in human brain function, rather than deficits or conditions that need to be "fixed."
In our work together, this means I do not expect you to adapt to neurotypical norms or suppress (mask) your authentic ways of thinking and experiencing the world. Instead, we work collaboratively to understand your unique brain, honour your sensory and communication needs, and build practical strategies that align with how you naturally function.

I do not offer formal medical diagnoses. In the UK, official diagnoses (such as for depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, or autism) are provided through a GP, a psychiatrist, or a specialist clinical psychologist.
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, my focus is not on labelling you or fitting your symptoms into a clinical box. Instead, we will work directly with your unique, lived experience, exploring the thoughts, feelings, and challenges you are facing, exactly as they show up for you. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access or benefit from therapy with me.

There is no threshold of distress you need to meet before you are allowed to seek support. You do not need to be in a total crisis, nor do you need to have your problems neatly defined. If you are feeling stuck, exhausted by masking, overwhelmed by anxiety, or simply navigating a heavy life change and realise you don't want to carry it alone, therapy can help. Ultimately, the best way to find out is to experience it. Our initial, free 15-minute video call is designed exactly for this, a low-pressure space to check in, chat, and see if working together feels right for you.
