How I Work

Therapy with me is not about fitting you into a rigid theory or ticking boxes. Because I practice from a person-centred perspective, our sessions are guided entirely by what you choose to bring each week. My role is to offer a steady, warm, and completely non-judgmental presence where you can explore your thoughts safely, at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

I support clients through a wide range of everyday human challenges, providing a safe space to work through:

  • Anxiety & overwhelm: navigating a busy, racing mind, panic, or constant worry.

  • Depression & low mood: sitting with feelings of heaviness, lack of motivation, or feeling stuck.

  • Grief, loss & life transitions: processing the pain of bereavement or major changes in your life.

  • Low self-esteem & pressure: exploring feelings of not being "enough" or struggling with perfectionism.

  • Trauma & distressing memories: working gently to process past events that continue to impact your safety and presence today.

  • Obsessions & intrusive thoughts: creating a secure, non-judgmental space to navigate looping fears, phobias, or exhausting, repeating thoughts.

  • Oncology & illness support: gently holding space for cancer patients, survivors, and loved ones.

To ensure my practice remains a safe and inclusive space for the diverse communities I work with, my ongoing training and professional focus actively include:

  • Neurodiversity-affirming practice: understanding and supporting unique minds.

  • LGBTQ+ affirming practice: welcoming and respecting all gender, sexuality, and relationship diversities

  • Trauma-informed practice: prioritising safety, pacing, and nervous system grounding.

Fees & Practicalities

Initial consultation

Our journey begins with a free, 15-minute video call. This is a low-pressure conversation for us to meet, discuss what is bringing you to therapy, and see how it feels to talk.

Session fees and frequency

Following our initial call, standard sessions are charged at £65. Each session lasts 50 minutes, providing a dedicated, uninterrupted space focused entirely on you.

To build momentum and depth, sessions are typically held weekly at a recurring time. This consistency offers a dependable anchor for your week.

Location

I offer sessions both online using Google Meet and in person. My physical practice is at New Road Psychotherapy, with a choice of meeting at the Brighton or Hove rooms, both centrally located and well served by local transport.

Ready to talk?

Reaching out can take a lot of courage, and there is absolutely no pressure to have everything figured out before you write to me. Our first step is a free, 15-minute video call. This is simply a chance for us to meet, see how it feels to talk, and decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Please use the contact form to share a few brief details. You don't need to write your whole story; just providing the times you’re available for a call is enough.

What happens next: I will reply via email within 48 hours (excluding weekends) with potential times for our video call.
